We’re taking a short break from publishing new content so we can concentrate on tweaking the site design. We will return later on this summer with more exciting new art and literature. Meanwhile, we are still accepting submissions. So please keep sending us stuff.
April is National Poetry Month, so for Issue #5, we featured more poetry and less of everything else. We also hosted our first live event: a tribute to Allen Ginsberg’s “Howl” at Grey House Studios in Birmingham. The event went very well, all things considered. Several of our contributors were affected by the Alabama hurricanes and couldn’t make it to the reading. However, we did have several people volunteer to read at the last minute. We also had amazing live music by Davey Williams. We’d like to thank everyone who came out to the show, especially those that participated. Pictures from the event are posted here.
